What to Wear to Lollapalooza India 2027
Share
Lollapalooza India is back at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on 23 and 24 January 2027. Two days, outdoors, dancing from the afternoon into the night. Here's how I'd dress for it.
Start with the dance test
Before anything leaves my studio, I dance in it. If a strap slips, a tassel tangles or a seam pulls, it doesn't ship. Do the same with your festival outfit: put it on at home, play something loud and move for ten minutes. If you're adjusting it every thirty seconds, it won't survive day one.
Day one: go bright
Afternoon sets want colour and movement. Fringe and tassels come alive when you dance, and sequins catch the sun. A co-ord is the easiest win because it reads as one look but lets you breathe.
- The Ibiza Co-ord set: sequin corset and skirt with hand-embroidered beaded tassels.
- The Pacha dress: hand-embroidered sequin fabric with embellished lace.
- The Sunset tunic: fine mesh with sequins, for a lighter layer.
Day two: go gold or go dark
By the second night you know what you're there for. If it's the headliner, wear something that catches the stage lights.
- The Moroccan gold 3 piece set: wear all three pieces, or just the bikini and skirt.
- The Dune dress: hand-embroidered gold chains that move with you.
- The Berghain set: if you'd rather be in black all weekend.
Shoes and bags
You'll be on your feet for hours. Boots with a block heel or a flat sole beat stilettos on grass every time. Keep your bag small and cross-body so your hands are free.
Repeat your outfits
You're allowed. Wear the same piece both days and change the styling: boots and a harness one day, gold jewellery the next. Nobody at the festival is keeping score.
When to order
Every Pennello piece is made to order and takes 15 to 30 business days to reach you within India. For Lolla, order by early December so it arrives with time for your own dance test.
